Visitor Experience at the Rockefeller Centre

Tishman Speyer approached Monstarlab to digitally transform one of the most iconic buildings in New York - the Rockefeller Centre.

In addition to providing an enhanced experience for the building's tenants, they wanted to improve the digital experience of the Top of The Rock observatory, which sits atop Rockefeller Centre. With over 3 million visitors per year, we had to ensure that the Top of the Rock app had everything needed for an enhanced Rockefeller Centre experience for the visitors.

Following a discovery phase, the proposed solution centred on maximising the experience created by visiting Top of The Rock. Despite the large number of visitors to the observatory, many of them didn’t venture beyond the viewing deck.

A Digital Assistant for an International Attraction

Monstarlab created an end to end mobile app that allowed visitors to book their e-ticket for seamless entry, integrated augmented reality (AR) for a guided tour of the New York skyline, and wayfinding to help visitors find specific retailers, restaurants and cafes following their visit.
