Daisuke Kaihoku is currently working as a capitalist to join JIC Venture Growth Investments (VGI) as a partner in August of 2020. Prior to joining VGI, he worked for Innovation Network Corporation of Japan(“INCJ”) as a capitalist (Director), with a focus on venture capital investments, fund investments as well as social problem solutions. He has a broad range of industry experience including digital transformation in the industrial and agricultural fields, social implementation of technologies. Prior to joining INCJ, he served at Ricoh Company Ltd, and the Patent law firm, where he supported planning intellectual property strategy and managed to acquire, protect and use intellectual property rights as a patent attorney. He started his career in sales and business at Toppan Printing Co., Ltd in 1998.

Master’s Degree of Information Science from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, MBA in Financial Strategy, and Master’s Degree of Business Law from Hitotsubashi University Graduate School.
