History
Monstarlab's 17-Year Journey
Founded in 2006, Monstarlab began with the launch of a music streaming service. Since then, we have grown by expanding our capabilities in business, design, technology, and data through domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, starting with the launch of our software development business, to support our clients' digital transformation.
We have been, and will continue to be, a partner to our clients, driving impactful transformations.
Initial Period
2006
Founded the company.
Started "monstar.fm", a personal music streaming service.
2007
Moved the headquarters to Shimokitazawa.
Initiated "Software Development Business."
2010
Launched store BGM service "MONSTAR.ch (Monster Channel)" for PC.

2014
Feb.
Launched 'Sekai Lab', the former global sourcing service, which became the predecessor of the digital consulting business.
Established subsidiary "Sekai Lab Pte. Ltd." (Singapore headquarters / Tokyo branch office).
Jul.
Established Shimane Development Center, a Ruby development center (Matsue, Japan).
Aug.
Raised a total of 120 million yen in funding from East Ventures and others.
2015
May.
Acquired software development company "Asian Tech" as a group subsidiary (Da Nang, Vietnam).
Jul.
Established Shanghai Office, a revenue center (Shanghai, China).
Founded subsidiary "Sekai Lab Bangladesh" (Dhaka, Bangladesh).
Nov.
Raised a total of 400 million yen in funding from Pasona Tech Inc. and DG Incubation.
Entered into a capital and business alliance with Pasona Tech Inc.
