JOYSOUND.com Renewal Powered by a CMS
JOYSOUND.com has long served as the digital home for JOYSOUND, one of Japan's leading commercial communication karaoke brands. As XING looked to take the site into its next chapter, two key challenges emerged.
The first was technical: the site's frontend technology had reached the end of support, and mobile devices now accounted for the majority of traffic — a gap the existing site wasn't built to close. The second was operational. Every content update ran through an in-house admin tool that required engineering support, leaving XING's team little room to publish quickly or independently.
To address both and rebuild the site around how people use it today, XING brought Monstarlab on board.
Monstarlab ran the project through a hybrid setup: requirements were defined by the Japan team, with design and development led out of the Philippines. This clear handoff kept the work consistent across two locations.
Before any UI work began, Monstarlab helped shape the design strategy itself — mining data from Google Search Console and Google Analytics for user insight, then defining JOYSOUND's brand personality from vision down to tone and voice. That thinking became concrete design assets: color, typography, character use. The team then rebuilt the site's screens mobile-first, refining the UI for how people actually hold, tap, and read on a phone.
On the technical side, the frontend was rebuilt on a modern, server-rendered framework, improving page speed. A headless CMS now lets XING's team publish static-page updates directly, no engineer required. Browser- and server-side caching brought a further speed boost, and the new architecture was built with future updates and easier maintenance in mind. With most visitors on mobile, every detail was tuned toward a smoother, more intuitive experience.
The renewal wrapped in early 2026. Site-wide load times improved significantly, and mobile users in particular now get a noticeably smoother experience. With the CMS in place, XING's team can publish text updates and news items on their own — no engineer needed, which has sped up how quickly new information reaches the site.
Monstarlab continues to support the maintenance phase, with the Philippines team working directly with XING to turn requests around quickly. Bridging the language gap with translation tools, the team has earned high marks for how well it understands requirements and how fast it responds. Staying closely connected across Japan and the Philippines has been one of this project's defining features.
Monstarlab remains engaged in ongoing support for JOYSOUND.com, continuing to work alongside XING as the site evolves.
