Board members with knowledge, experience and achievements in their respective fields lead the Monstar Lab Group.

Hiroki founded Monstarlab in 2006 after 7 years of experience with US-based
 consulting firms and web technology startups. He started by creating an online
 music marketplace in Japan and built up the company into a global development
 group with over 1,200 people in 25 offices across 16 countries by blending
 growth through internal expansion and by M&amp;As.


 Monstarlab has some of the world’s best developers, designers and project
 strategists working on the most complex challenges of our time. and blending
 strategic thinking with stunning design and cutting-edge technology to
 engineer awesome solutions.


 We are a multicultural team of specialists with a global approach that not
 only allows us to attract outstanding talent worldwide but also provides us
 with deep insight into local markets. By challenging ourselves to create
 unique centers of excellence in developing countries such as Gaza we lay the
 seeds for new opportunities for growth by nurturing the talents of the next
 generation of creators.

Hiroki Inagawa

Before joining Monstarlab, Masahiko led a successful three-decade career at
 ITD Japan in systems development, system operations, and has experienced
 various managerial roles. He worked as the company’s Offshore Promotion
 Officer/ Business Manager and was involved in the company’s expansion efforts
 to Asia– mainly in China.


 In 2012, he joined Lifetime Technologies Ltd. (later acquired as Monstarlab
 Hanoi) as CEO and developed the company’s specialized offshore and outsourcing
 business.

Masahiko Matsunaga

After graduating from University of Southern California, Kiyo joined PwC in
 which he experienced multiple incubation businesses for IT startup companies.
 Subsequently, he founded multiple startup companies in Japan, China and the
 U.S. and has managed businesses related to mobile media, promotion and
 apparel.

Kiyo joined Monstarlab in January 2018.

Kiyotaka Izumi

Tomo started his career at a major systems integration company in Japan and
 has managed multiple large mobile app and web systems development projects


 He joined Monstarlab in 2015 as a project manager and adds value through his
 extensive experience with business and project management of various project
 types.

Tomo holds an MBA from Australia Bond University.

Tomoyuki Uno

Daisuke started his carrier as a software engineer in IBM where he specialised
 in enterprise applications.


 He later joined a startup where he developed a variety of hardware and
 software systems, such as an automatic data center management system, VoLTE
 middleware, and drone systems.


 He joined Monstarlab in 2015 and has overseen a number of web application and
 smartphone application development projects. He is now the CTO Lead of
 Monstarlab’s Japanese business.

Daisuke Hirata

Steffen D. Sommer is the Technology Lead for Monstarlab’s International
 Markets, covering the Americas, Europe, Middle East and parts of Asia.
 
 He is a driven leader with a long track record of experience across mobile,
 web, backend and solution architecture.
 
 At Monstarlab, Steffen focuses on building a world-class technology
 organisation, and advising clients on how to navigate the complex and
 fast-moving technology space.
 
 He has worked with international companies, from scale-ups to enterprises
 across verticals such as BFSI, Life Science and Retail. Besides helping
 clients, Steffen has helped start and run several developer meetups across
 Copenhagen and London, as well as established an international developer
 conference in Berlin, Copenhagen and London.
 
 He has also published a book around programming for kids and occasionally
 speaks at conferences.
 
 Prior to joining Monstarlab, Steffen focused on fintech and was involved in
 building some of the most popular mobile payment applications in Denmark.

Steffen Sommer

After graduating from California State University, [this person] returned to Japan and joined Monster Lab in 2017. Since joining the company, they have been in charge of FP&amp;A (budgeting and actual analysis) for various businesses in Japan and overseas. They have been involved in new business launch support, organizational restructuring, internal audits, and IPO preparation. After serving as APAC Finance Director, they assumed the position of APAC CFO in July 2024.

Jun Takada

Takuya commenced his career as an auditor at PwC where he mainly served global
 financial institutions and provided audit and consulting services.


 In 2013, he joined Bain &amp; Company and led multiple strategic consulting
 projects such as corporate strategy, business strategy, new business
 development, cost optimisation, M&amp;A strategy and due diligence.


 Takuya joined Monstarlab in May 2022 as a head of CEO office and leading
 global corporate strategy and M&amp;As.

Takuya Yamaguchi

One of our founding members, Sumito led the music platform businesses and
 later launched Monstarlab’s B2C and B2B businesses. After further expansion,
 Sumito became the head of the corporate global Legal function in 2015.

Sumito hold an MBA from Australia Bond University.

Leadership
