Our client, a global leader in value-added ingredients, built a long and established career delivering not only products but also services supporting the entire product life-cycles of food and beverage, home and personal care, and health and wellness items. Committed to doing better for their customers, they tapped Monstarlab to modernise one of their in-demand product safety evaluation services - Phage Testing for clients in the dairy production industry. As they envisioned pushing past traditional boundaries as well as needed one place for all their data to ensure accuracy and accessibility, our global team helped them digitise test data management and created one connected ecosystem for this. We provided the client services around database creation, Salesforce integration, and system automations.
The Challenge: Digitising the Service with Timely Technologies
With our client continuously expanding their operations across borders under a largely analogue approach, challenges surrounding achievement of modern service efficiency likewise continued to surface. In this particular case, traditional ways of working could no longer adequately support their Phage Testing Service as they have in the past. Functions such as manual bookkeeping, test request processing, and sorting through legacy systems for urgent information were becoming increasingly challenging to keep up. Not to mention how this slows down production processes beyond data management. To address such issues, Monstarlab pushed for the end-to-end modernisation of the Phage Testing Service composed of the succeeding features.
One Digital Database for All
The Monstarlab team deployed a team of five developers and four members of a near-shore local team to create a document management system that streamlined result documentation as well as simplified keeping track of and engaging various pieces of relevant information in the management system.
Integrated Salesforce
Within the system, roles-based access also allows various levels of management to create test requests for roughly 50,000 customers in their client base. This integration also enables them to easily form reports on groups or individual accounts for multiple purposes.
Dataflow Automation
With data streams spanning the whole testing value chain, we also ensured that data is automatically stored, sent, and processed in the system according to their relevance and purpose in each process as well. This effectively increases ease of use and organisation for all stakeholders involved.
