Angel Electronics, one of the leading high-tech manufacturers in China, needed to improve the intelligence of its medical pump series for increased hospital care efficiency and sought Monstarlab's expertise to realise the timely and effective monitoring and management of electronic infusion pumps and collected data in operations.

Empowering Product Capabilities and Connectivity with IoT

Functionalities and device connectivity of the medical pump has significantly been increased and is being developed to be put into use in many countries and regions across Europe.

The Solution

We engineered app and web management pages for Angel Electronics' medical pumps with monitoring and alarm functions in accordance to client requests and strict communication enforcements. We provided a solution under WiFi and 4G signals that is also future-proofed into being compatible with 5G. Our solution perfectly synchronises the status change of the medical pump, the application, and the background so it displays the correct status, issue reminders, and alarms to make health care manageable and convenient for all stakeholders.

Multiple Devices Accord to a Consistent Communication System

Angel Electronics deals with a large number of medical pumps; and in order to facilitate centralised management and unified production, the solution uses a single communication mechanism that not only facilitates convenient data retrieval in instances of multiple device use but also ensures a standard for adding new kinds of equipment into the system.

Android and iOS Devices Automatically Synchronise their Status

When the state of the medical pump changes, it instantly sends a signal via WiFi or 4G. After receiving the signal, the server synchronizes to the management page and Android and IOS devices and the device will send out reminders and alarms according to different signals. Reminders and warnings also use both app internal push and SMS push - increasing alert efficacy and user engagement while helping users deal with time-sensitive notifications.

Mobility Brings Healthcare Beyond Hospitals and Makes It Possible for Communities

Different management methods are adopted for hospitals and communities. With our solution, the staff can now manage multiple medical pumps in a one-to-many mode, while community users can adopt a one-to-one mode and vice-versa according to their needs. The addition of this feature will enables the products to be used in more scenarios.
