When Monstarlab opened the office in Newcastle upon Tyne in November 2021 we recognised that the city is on the cusp of a major renaissance. With the raw outdoors on its doorstep, a low cost of living, a diverse talent pool and an influx of major investments, it is a city that has a lot to offer.
The publication of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda in February 2022 details the commitment to making a more equal society for all citizens, which includes the citizens in Newcastle. Monstarlab is committed to supporting this agenda and we have written this short paper on what we see the main challenges are for the region and how these could be overcome.
