Combating climate change together: our pledge to reducing our carbon footprint

November 26, 2021

The UN’s 2021 Climate Change Conference of the Parties, or COP26, brought together governments, agencies, and stakeholders from around the world to commit to urgent climate action, with the goal of limiting global warming to below 2 degrees Celsius.

The overwhelming message was simple and clear: we all have a role to play to protect our planet and build a more resilient future for all of us.

At Monstarlab, we believe that all global citizens and businesses should work together towards the fight against climate change, and in the UK, we have concrete plans on how we plan to decrease our carbon footprint, to ultimately reach net zero emissions by 2030.

By implementing the following measures, we are committed to reaching our carbon reduction targets, and working with our colleagues around the world to helping them do the same:

  1. We will be switching our electricity to a green energy supplier,
  2. We will be improving waste recycling in all our offices and also eliminating printing,
  3. We will decrease business travel and encourage virtual meetings across our offices,
  4. We will improve building insulation and replace gas boilers with renewable heat sources.

Moreover, we will be compensating for our carbon emissions by partnering with Just One Tree, a non-profit initiative aimed at removing CO2 from the atmosphere through tree planting and global reforestation.

We are also committed to helping our clients and UK businesses advance their transition to net zero. We have expertise in a number of sectors including health and life science, smart cities, financial services, retail and transportation. Through our work, we build intuitive digital products and services that we believe can make a difference in society and help companies embrace the growth opportunities in green innovation and technology.
