With operations also running from London, this marks a further strengthening of Monstarlab’s footprint in the UK, and its commitment to the EMEA region. The Newcastle hub will be located in the city centre on Grey Street, where Monstarlab plans to create up to 100 new jobs by 2024.

Newcastle was selected mainly due to the city’s large and highly-skilled talent pool, fast growing tech hub and client base. The new office will employ experienced talent across Service, Experience and UX Design, Digital Strategy, Technology and Delivery.

Invest Newcastle, part of NewcastleGateshead Initiative, supported Monstarlab with their plans introducing them to networks and helping them to access funding through the North of Tyne Inward Investment Fund. Monstarlab has been awarded £680,000 through this fund, which will support its further growth of the region’s digital economy.

James Hall, Executive Director at Monstarlab UK, has been appointed to lead the new office. James has been working with Monstarlab since January 2021 – and has been instrumental in developing the growth strategy for Monstarlab in the UK. He also represents the EMEA region on Monstarlab’s Global Growth Council which is tasked with developing global propositions and driving new business.

Commenting on the new office opening, James said:
“We are very excited to become part of Newcastle’s tech community and would like to thank Invest Newcastle for their support of Monstarlab. I would encourage anyone who is seeking a new career to explore our future opportunities.. This is a great chance to join an ambitious and diverse team, have an impact on a growing business, and deliver industry leading work – all while working in an exciting and flexible environment.”

Welcoming the news, Jennifer Hartley, Director of Invest Newcastle, NewcastleGateshead Initiative, said:
“Working with and supporting Monstarlab with their move to the North East has been brilliant. This investment into the city is testament to the strength of our tech ecosystem and world-class talent. Monstarlab’s commitment to supporting our region and boosting our thriving tech scene will further strengthen this key sector and our local economy. We look forward to working with them as they continue to grow their northern base.”

Nick Constantinou, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of UK, Germany, Netherlands and Middle East also said:
“This milestone serves as an important marker for the company’s global expansion plans, as we open our 29th office and further solidify our presence in the UK. As we accelerate our growth and expand our service offerings, we are committed to attracting and investing in world class talent, and building a productive and balanced work life culture. With the North East’s highly-skilled talent pool, best-in-class client base and technology focus, I am confident that the Newcastle hub will be successful.”
