Monstarlab opens new Colombia office to bolster presence in the Americas

Tokyo, Japan – Sep 30, 2020 – Leading digital services agency, Monstarlab, continues its ambitious global growth journey and opens a new office in Bogotá, Colombia on September 18th, 2020. Entering Latin America is a strategic decision to provide immediate value to clients in North America, while being an investment in Monstarlab’s future growth plans.

A fast-growing country with emphasis on innovation and bolstered by full government support, Colombia is seen as an emerging technology hub in Latin America. Combined with the short time zone difference, growing talent pool as well as the cultural compatibility with the United States, the new office in Colombia is expected to provide immediate value to Monstarlab’s US based clients.

“Bogotá is a perfect location to open up a new office primarily due to the abundance of tech talent spanning from highly proficient backend developers to skilled designers. Entering Colombia will help us to stay competitive while delivering our work faster without compromising quality. Juan Pedro Pereyra is directly overseeing the establishment of the Bogotá office, which will be called Monstarlab Colombia.

 

Strengthening the foundation to scale regionally and globally

While Monstarlab Colombia primarily will support Fuzz production’s operations in North America, entering Latin America is a strategic decision to be able to scale operations regionally and globally.

“With our global growth plans in mind, investing in nearshore development in Colombia is just as much to serve our global clients as it is to offer our North American customer base more value for their money. Our Colombian branch will join a pool of talented delivery centers around the world and work on international projects with the rest of the company”, says Global CTO Casper Rasmussen.

In order to become a global-scale digital consulting company, it is essential for us to strengthen our engineering team for the U.S. market. In addition to the development centers in Asia and Eastern Europe, South America is in the same time zones as the U.S. time zones and has an understanding of U.S. culture. With high growth potential and a lot of talented people, we saw strong possibilities in the country, and that is why we decided to establish a new development center there. We are looking forward to building a high-quality team, led by Juan Pedro Pereyra, CTO, who has extensive experience in training engineering organizations in South America.
