Tokyo, Japan – 13 September, 2021 – Monstarlab, a global digital consultancy, has entered into agreement to acquire ecap, a leading executive search and talent assessment business in the Middle East, which will extend its end-to-end digital transformation services to its clients as well as strengthen its position in the region.

While “digital transformation”, ignited by the accelerated development of technology, data, access, consumer-behaviour & expectations, has been on everybody’s lips for close to a decade, the recent pandemic has only put additional focus on businesses’ ability to serve its clients quicker, more conveniently, and on numerous – and more digital – platforms.

A leader in digital transformation, Monstarlab has recently undergone its own innovative digital transformation framework, focusing on six key pillars, namely: strategy, technology, data, experience, and talent.

The proposed acquisition of ecap will allow Monstarlab to strengthen its core in three dimensions:

  1. Building on the access to talent, thereby adding additional value to our end-to-end digital transformation service,
  2. Strengthening Monstarlab’s access to the regional talent and leadership pool,
  3. Providing access to advanced knowledge of assessment processes and tools.

Following the acquisition, ecap will continue business as usual, leveraging the synergies between and strengthening the companies.

Hiroki Inagawa, Monstarlab Group CEO commented: “We are proud to have confirmed this

acquisition of ecap, an organization that helped us to establish in the UAE back in 2019.

The acquisition will help us achieve our joint ambition of driving digital transformation for the

organisations we work with. By combining the right talent and world-leading technology, we

are able to provide customers with the platform they need for success through digitalisation.”

“Monstarlab will strategically scale ecap by leveraging our combined global networks across

our 17 key markets, giving our clients the tools and access to world-class talent from all

geographies. We look forward to expanding further in the region and global markets through

this acquisition and we are committed to further investment,” added Inagawa.
