By assigning specialists from each country's base—system design in Japan, design in Cebu, and development and testing in Vietnam—and collaborating, we achieved a swift service launch aligned with the business roadmap.
After the service launch, we acquired more registrants than initially expected by the company Uniqlo. In just two months, the service grew to be used by over 10,000 users.
At Monster Lab, we continue to support the development of additional services and the maintenance and operation aspects.
While developing a service focused on funeral services, Uniquest recognized that traditional approaches to end-of-life planning weren't meeting the needs of modern consumers. They identified a gap in the market for services that would allow people to easily document and share their final wishes and messages with loved ones.
However, existing services in this area were often complicated and not user-friendly, particularly for senior users who might struggle with digital technology.
Initially, it was considered to be deployed as a web service, but it was decided to develop it as a service utilizing LINE so that users can easily use the service. Engineers with expertise in developing LINE official accounts were assigned, and technical verifications were repeatedly conducted while catching up on the latest information published by LINE Corporation.
When adopting a specification where writing progresses each time you answer in a Q&A format, the number of questions was carefully scrutinized considering usability. UI design that takes into account the senior demographic as the main users was incorporated, along with coloring that considers visibility.
Moreover, in the sensitive theme of \"testament,\" warm visuals and friendly icons were used to avoid negative impressions.
On the technical side, linking the reader and writer of the testament became a bottleneck, but an MVP was developed from scratch, tested repeatedly, and refined to meet the function requirements.
