Initially, Nissho Electronics Corporation sought a renewal of their existing website. However, as Monstar Lab proceeded with proposals involving UX designers, the importance of consolidating eight different business units into a single entity and developing them as one brand came into focus.
Nissho Electronics Corporation's underlying concern was their inability to effectively organize and communicate the value and appeal of their services. Because each business unit could function independently, they felt it was difficult to achieve a unified direction.
Therefore, in the process of solidifying the policy to integrate the eight business units, unifying the will of the organization's members was established as a major mission through brand development.
To deepen the understanding of Nissho Electronics Corporation's corporate identity and clarify the essential issues to be resolved, A.C.O. (now integrated into Monstar Lab), with its strength in the design field, assigned UX research and design specialists.
By conducting workshops with representatives from each business division from various angles, we fostered mutual understanding among the previously siloed departments. Furthermore, by gaining insights into the appeal that was not visible from the perspective of those engaged in each business, we successfully created a significant shift in awareness towards the one-brand concept.
Based on the insights gained from the workshops, we solidified the new brand's brand statement, and A.C.O.'s art director was responsible for creating the visual identity.
By deriving a design concept from the keywords that form the core of the new brand and creating visual patterns, we proposed the worldview of the new brand.
