11 JANUARY 2023 – TOKYO, JAPAN — Fast-growing global digital consultancy and transformation partner Monstarlab continues to gather world-class leaders as it strengthens its product design and experience portfolios.
Monstarlab has appointed seasoned tech entrepreneur and Human Factors & Systems Engineering expert, Calvin Hart, as Senior Vice President for its Experience Practice in the International Markets.
Hart founded and leads Dubai-headquartered Genieology, a global company specialising in digital growth, design, and recently acquired by Monstarlab.
In his new role, Hart will utilise his vast experience to enhance Monstarlab’s existing capabilities to further its transformation into a strategic global digital and experience transformation partner that helps clients and partners solve the most complex challenges.
“My primary focus will be to enhance innovative best practices and integrate Genieology’s platforms in strategy and experience with those of Monstarlab. In parallel, I aim to strengthen and evolve Monstarlab’s experience processes to amplify Monstarlab’s global presence with a more purposeful, magical, sustainable, and scalable offering,” Hart said.
Hart’s entry into Monstarlab will also ensure the effectiveness of its product experience by means of tried and tested methodologies he organically built through projects for various industries, such as banking and financial services, retail, media and hospitality, among others.
Prior to establishing Genieology and joining Monstarlab, Hart held key roles in global firms, including IBM, Hongkong Shanghai Banking Corporation (“HSBC”), and the United States’ space agency, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (“NASA”).
“Every role I have taken up during the last 15 years, along with the experience gained from every organisation I worked with, have added immensely to my wealth of knowledge, and to my do’s and don’ts. With Monstarlab, I intend to keep this growth going, moving from strength to strength. My main goal is to set up Monstarlab with a stage to attract world class talent to collectively grow our reputation as partner of choice in the ‘Art of Change’.” Hart said.
For Hiroki Inagawa, Monstarlab’s Group Chief Executive Officer, the addition of Hart into the group further enhances its core expertise of experience transformation.
“Calvin is an inspirational leader who brings with him global knowledge, an impressive battery of clients, and brilliant colleagues who will provide synergies in services and practitioner value during all stages of our customers’ digital business transformation,” Inagawa said.
A happily-married father of two, Hart earned a Master of Science in Geographical Information Systems from Auckland University in New Zealand, and a Master of Science in Aviation Systems Engineering from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, USA. He also studied as a commercial pilot at Massey University in Auckland.
